This Privacy Policy explains how the Find The Title iOS app, operated by TNAADO Inc (“TNAADO”, “we”, “us”), handles your information. Find The Title identifies the source of a video clip — the movie, show, song, or other title it came from. This policy covers what happens to the clips you share, what we store, and the choices you have. For anything unclear, write to privacy@tnaado.com.

01What the app does

Find The Title identifies the source of a video clip. You share a clip or a link to one; the app runs automated recognition on it and returns a ranked list of likely matches. To do that, it needs to process the audio and visuals of the clip you give it — but only for as long as it takes to produce a result.

02Clips and links you share

When you share a clip or a link, it is processed transiently by automated recognition. This means the clip’s audio — including anything recorded through the microphone when you use Listen — leaves your device and is sent to third-party services that transcribe it and match the result against reference data. This processing happens to answer your request and then ends.

The services that receive it are Supabase (hosting and database), Groq and OpenAI (speech transcription and image recognition — Groq is tried first, with OpenAI as a fallback), DeepSeek (matching a transcript to a title), OpenSubtitles (checking a line against real subtitles). They process it on our instructions to answer your request. We do not sell your data, and none of this recognition data is used for advertising or tracking — see section 06 for the separate advertising disclosure. If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment — see section 04.

We do not store the clips or the media you share as media. The clip itself is not retained after the recognition step completes. What is saved is described in the next section.

03What we store

We store a small amount of data in Supabase (our managed Postgres and authentication provider) so the app can work across sessions:

  • Account. Either an anonymous device session or, if you choose to sign in, the identifier returned by Sign in with Apple. This is what ties your saved data to you.
  • Your saved lists and items. The titles you save, the lists you organize them into, and a reference to the clip each one came from — including the link you shared, where there was one.
  • A record of each identification. One row per completed identification, holding a fingerprint of the clip (a one-way hash, not the clip) and the result we returned. This is what your five free identifications are counted from, and because they do not reset, this record is kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Subscription status. Whether Unlimited is active on your account, when the current period ends, and Apple’s identifier for the purchase.
  • Usage analytics, tied to your account. We keep a row for every identification attempt — successes, failures and repeats of a clip we have already seen. Each row holds your account identifier, the clip fingerprint, the title, year and type we matched, how confident we were, whether the answer came from audio or a link, how long it took, and whether you were a subscriber. Taken together this amounts to a history of what you have looked up, and it is linked to your account. We also record when a subscription screen was shown, which plan was selected, and whether the purchase completed.

We use the analytics above to see what the app fails to identify, to fix it, and to understand how the subscription is used. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build a profile of you for advertising. We do not store the clips themselves.

04Payments

The Unlimited subscription is purchased inside the app through the Apple App Store and charged to your Apple Account. Apple processes the payment under its own terms and we never see or store your card or payment details. What we receive is the confirmation of the purchase itself, from which we record that Unlimited is active on your account, when the period ends, and Apple’s identifier for the purchase — enough to keep your subscription working across your devices and after a reinstall.

Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. We do not sell subscriptions on this website and there is no web checkout.

05Sign in with Apple

If you sign in with Apple, we use it to identify your account — so your saved lists and your subscription follow you across your devices and survive a reinstall. We do not use Sign in with Apple to track you, profile you, or contact you for marketing. You can use Find The Title with an anonymous device session and never sign in, in which case your lists stay on that device's session.

06Selling and ad tracking

We do not sell your personal data. The app does show ads, served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). On iOS 14.5+, the App Tracking Transparency prompt asks your permission before AdMob (or any partner in its network) may track you across other companies' apps and websites for ad targeting; you can allow or deny this, and can change your answer any time in your device's Settings. AdMob may receive device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. Beyond ad serving, the only usage data that exists is the analytics described in section 03, which we hold ourselves and share with no one.

07Rate-limiting and abuse prevention

To keep the service available and to enforce scan limits, we apply rate-limiting and record the time of each request against your account or device session. The full detail of what each identification attempt records is set out in section 03 — we are not keeping a second, quieter log beyond it. We use this only to operate the service, count scans against your plan, and detect and prevent abuse — not to advertise to you.

08Deleting your data

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. That permanently removes your saved lists and items, your record of each identification, your subscription record, and the account itself. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@tnaado.com. Because clips are processed transiently and never stored as media, there is no clip library to delete.

One thing to be plain about: the usage analytics described in section 03 are not deleted. Instead, deleting your account detaches your account identifier from them — the identifier is erased from every one of those rows, so what remains is an unattributed record that a clip was looked up and what the answer was, no longer connected to you or to any other row. We keep those de-identified rows to measure how well the app performs. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel that in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

09Children

Find The Title is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, write to privacy@tnaado.com and we will delete it.

10Changes to this policy

When we make a material change to this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
